Following a successful UTurn-led migration from on-premises hosting to AWS, PartsSource entered a new phase of its cloud journey. Following a successful UTurn-led migration from its on-premises data center to AWS, PartsSource entered the next stage of its cloud journey. The organization wanted to establish a sustainable operating model that would support ongoing availability, efficient operations, and continued modernization of the platform. As PartsSource expanded its use of AWS, the environment introduced new architectural, observability, support, and cost-management considerations. PartsSource chose to extend its partnership with UTurn to add 24/7 operational coverage, proactive cloud architecture guidance, and FinOps capabilities that would help the organization operate, optimize, and evolve its AWS environment with confidence.

The Solution

To promote continued modernization within their AWS presence, PartsSource expanded its relationship with UTurn through the Architect-in-Residence (AiR+) program. AiR+ formed the strategic foundation of the engagement, providing PartsSource with embedded architecture and FinOps expertise to guide the continued evolution of its AWS environment. UTurn worked alongside the PartsSource team to plan and execute architecture and infrastructure improvements in alignment with the six pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. The FinOps capability added cost and usage analysis, forecasting, and optimization guidance, helping PartsSource align cloud investment with executive-level business priorities. UTurn complemented this proactive work with 24/7 coverage through its AiR+ Managed Services Program. Qualified, AWS-certified engineers were available to respond to infrastructure incidents that could affect uptime or customer delivery. Because UTurn had designed and migrated the AWS environment, the team entered the engagement with established knowledge of its operational context, enabling informed investigation and response.
